A strong woman is a healed woman. While being strong DOES have its place, God wants us to be healed and whole. Being strong does not mean that we are healed. What does God say about being strong? Joshua 1:9 says, Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Also, Philippians 4:13 says that I can do all things through him who strengthens me. For many of us being strong is a survival strategy. God wants us to live a healed and whole life. We do not have to be weak struggling in our brokenness. To understand wholeness, we must define its opposite, brokenness. Brokenness means fractured or damaged. No longer in one piece or in working order. Not only can we find our strength in the Lord, but God can make us whole if we allow him to heal us physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
